Peter Pereira Gray

Managing Partner and CEO of Investments, Wellcome Trust

Peter joined the Wellcome Trust in January 2001. He works with a team managing Wellcome's £20 billion multi-asset global investment portfolio. Peter's day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing Wellcome's privately held assets (private equity, real estate, venture capital and private direct holdings). In addition, he is Chair of the farming and land management business, FarmCare Ltd, and of Premier Marinas Ltd. Peter is also a Main Board Director of Vero Group Limited, the newly formed student housing joint venture with Goldman Sachs.

Judith MacKenzie

Partner, Downing LLP and Head of Public Equity

Judith is a Partner of Downing LLP, an investor in UK Smaller Companies. Judith has been investing and involved in Small Cap for over 20 years, having been a Co-Fund Manager of the Aberdeen Asset Growth Capital Venture Capital Trusts and Partner at Acuity Capital, the buy-out of Small Company Funds from Electra Partners. Judith is Head of Public Equities, and is Manager of the flagship and award winning Micro-cap fund, MI Downing Micro Cap Growth, and the Downing Strategic Micro Cap Investment Trust. The philosophy that Judith applies to investment in UK micro cap investments is conviction led, bottom up and more akin to a private equity investment process than traditional fund management.

ISA Millionaire and Investor

Leon Boros is a Chartered Accountant who trained with Ernst & Young and is a founding director of Equity Strategies, a deal origination corporate finance firm. He is an active private investor and is an ISA multi millionaire. He has achieved an annualised return on his investments of 18.5% p.a. over 25 years. His investing style has a particular emphasis on companies generating high profit margins, strong cashflow and high returns on tangible assets.

Gervais Williams is an award-winning fund manager. He has worked in the City for 25 years, 17 of which were spent at Gartmore, where he managed clients' investments in small to medium quoted companies

Lord John Lee

Politician, Writer and Investor

John Lee was born in 1942 and educated at William Hulme’s Grammar School in Manchester. He entered the House of Lords in 2006 and sits on the Liberal Democrat benches. He is Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Tourism Group. Lord Lee is a company director, investor and financial journalist. He is the Chairman of Wellington Market Plc and a non-executive Director of Emerson Developments (Holdings).


Ken Wotton


Ken Wotton of Livingbridge, who are the top performing smaller company fund over the last five years. Ken Wotton joined Livingbridge in 2007 as a quoted fund manager. He is the Lead Fund Manager for the quoted company investment activity. Ken joined from Evolution Securities where he spent two years in equity research specialising in small cap telecoms and technology stocks and AIM market fundraisings. Prior to that, he spent five years in the equity research department of Commerzbank Securities where he focused on the pan-European telecoms sector. Ken qualified as an ACA with KPMG in London.

Victoria Stevens


Victoria Stevens, CFA, joined Liontrust in June 2015 as a partner and fund manager. She is a member of the Economic Advantage investment team alongside Anthony Cross, Julian Fosh and Matthew Tonge, co-managing the Liontrust UK Smaller Companies Fund and Liontrust UK Micro Cap Fund. Victoria previously worked at the growth company specialist broking and advisory firm finnCap Ltd, latterly as deputy head of corporate broking. Prior to that, she worked as a senior reporter and diary editor at the financial newspaper City AM, having studied Modern Languages at the University of Oxford.

Phil was a professional share analyst for 13 years working for leading City institutions. He left the City to educate private investors and spent 3 years as senior investment writer for MoneyWeek magazine before joining Sharescope.

Graham Neary

Investor & Analyst

Graham is a full-time investor and independent analyst. He spent seven years in the financial markets in london both as an analyst and as equity portfolio manager for an international financial services organisation. Afterwards, he spent a year studying mandarin in northeast China before returning and joining the team with Paul Scott at Stockopedia._ He is a CFA charterholder, also holding the investment management certificate and the STA diploma in technical analysis. He graduated in mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin.
